Recipe for making traditional Mexican tacos:
Ingredients:
1 pound of beef or chicken, sliced into thin strips
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 small onion, diced
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
8-10 small corn tortillas
Toppings of your choice: chopped cilantro, diced onion, crumbled cheese, salsa, guacamole, etc.
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
Add the sliced meat to the skillet, and season with salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin. Cook until the meat is browned on all sides.
Warm the tortillas by placing them on a dry skillet or griddle over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side. Alternatively, you can wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave them for 10-15 seconds.
To assemble the tacos, place a few strips of meat in the center of each tortilla, and top with your desired toppings.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Note: You can also use other types of meat or fillings for your tacos, such as pork, fish, or beans. Feel free to experiment with different spices and toppings to create your own unique taco recipes.
